Pursuing My One and Only Passion

Have you ever had a feeling? A feeling that completely ran through you enough to motivate you to pursue your greatest passion? I had that feeling the other day. The other day when my inbox was filled with messages from women all over the world that needed the support, motivation, and drive that I once needed over a year ago. My heart was filled with compassion for these ladies as they spoke to me very freely…some about the “dark place” they are in at the moment. This hurt my heart. I really honestly truly hurt for them because it brought me back to over a year ago when I hurt the same exact way. It took me a long time to get out of that “dark place” and into a world of happiness. I see the world in a completely different light now. I see the beauty of the world outside; I hear the birds; see the flowers full of color. I see interesting people all around me that all have a quality within them to teach something positive each day. We all learn from each other no matter who we are or what stage of our lives we are in. We all have a great quality within us to offer to another, even if just through the words that come from deep within our hearts. When I look around me now, I see purpose and aspirations that were probably deep within me all the time and were being hidden by that dark place. There is a place inside all of us, a joyful place, where we should all be mentally, physically, and emotionally. I never even knew this place existed over a year ago. It’s a place that everyone should experience in their lifetime and now I feel like its my duty to fulfill my one and only passion to pay it forward. I would love to be the one these women turn to for the support, motivation and guidance they need to bring them to this joyful place I couldn’t even imagine existed over a year ago.

Yesterday, I was at the mall with my family. My 6 year old son wanted to ride the Merry-Go-Round. I had this feeling of excitement like never before over a Merry-Go-Round! When I was in my dark place, I would had paid for the ride and sat in the bench with him which was actually his request yesterday. I propped him up on the horse, strapped him up, and got on the horse right next to him. The look of joyfulness on his face when he saw his mommy getting on the horse to ride along side him is one I’ll never forget for the rest of my life! I was able to get on the Merry-Go-Round, pull myself up onto the horse in just one instance, and not feel as though I was going to break it or be embarrassed because the strap wouldn’t fit around my stomach. This one short ride on the Merry-Go-Round gave me a feeling of joy that could never be mimicked. It was like another message telling me to pursue my passion.

So, here I sit, composing this blog post to share with you that I’ve decided to pursue my passion to start a career as a Personal Weight Loss and Lifestyle Mentor/Consultant for Women. This is something that I am completely passionate about and believe in with my whole heart. I would love to be the one that these women can turn to on a daily basis when they are in their dark place and just need a little support, motivation, or even just someone to listen. I was there for a long time and didn’t know how to pull myself out. I had to figure it all out on my own. I’ve done a lot of research over the past 15 months trying to get this weight off and to keep the weight loss moving. I’ve learned more than anyone can learn in any school or by having a “certification” just by living and experiencing these things in my own life. It’s now time for me to pursue my one and only passion and pay it forward.

This is all still a work in progress, but my goal while I continue to study to become a personal trainer. I believe the two will work wonderfully together. I have started by offering two free 30-minute sessions to two ladies in my FaceBook Support Group which was started last week. They are both very excited to get started as am I. The only thing I asked of them in return was to write me a Letter of Recommendation. My sessions will be offered via Skype, FaceTime, or the phone; whichever is preferred by that particular individual. I will most likely offer this again next week to everyone on my FaceBook FanPage so be on the lookout for that! I look forward to mentoring, supporting, motivating, and inspiring others to move forward towards their own passions, dreams, and aspirations!
